GOOGLE

June-September 2020

During the summer of 2020, I worked as a UX Writing Intern for Google Shopping. My main goal was to find and update outdated language used within Google's transactional emails and review displays. Although Google Shopping's overall look had been constantly evolving, much of the copy had remained the same, making the UI difficult to follow and causing users to increasingly turn to customer service with similar questions.

Collecting existing content, I conducted audits to find inconsistent messaging and competitive analyses to note what other companies were doing to combat similar issues. From there, I regularly met with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to design updated layouts with my recommendations on Figma that would be consistent across Google Platforms.

Along the way, I researched and compiled a set of Shopping-specific UX writing and design guidelines to ensure that UXers and non-UXers alike would have a set of standards to reference during future interface updates.
